Recommendation

To make no change to the current boundary between Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor and Fyfield and Tubney parish.

Justification for recommendation

Whilst the land in question is included in the Local Plan, a recent application for housing was refused.  A further outline planning application has been submitted but is yet to be determined. The case for changing the boundary rests on whether planning permission is granted. If it is not, there is little case for a change and therefore the request is considered premature. In addition, the committee would not have the opportunity to consider the views of people directly affected by the proposed change in advance of any development.

The area lies in a rural location. The current boundary between the parishes reflects the “no man’s land” between communities providing a natural easily identifiable boundary between the communities.
